Introduction	Potassium bisulfite is an inorganic compound that is used as an antiseptic in the production of alcoholic beverages. It is approved by the European Union as a food additive under the code e228.
identification test	prepared (1 5) aqueous solution of sample, whose potassium test (IT-27) was positive, bisulfite test (IT-7) was positive.
content analysis	accurately weigh 0.5g of sample, and react with 50ml of 0.1mol/L iodine solution by sulfite quantitative method, after 5min, 2ml of (2-3) hydrochloric acid was added, and the excess iodine was titrated with sodium thiosulfate, using the starch test solution as an indicator. 0.1mol/L per ml. Iodine solution is equivalent to 6.009mg khso3.
